Job Summary: Augusta University College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, Chair of Prelicensure Programs position. We are the state’s flagship nursing program, enrolling more than 1000 students on two campuses and numerous practice sites across the state. The College of Nursing is adjacent to Augusta University Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Georgia, Georgia Cancer Center, and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, providing ample opportunity for clinical experiences for students and faculty. The college offers the full degree spectrum including BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs.The College of Nursing Department Chair for Prelicensure Programs provides administrative leadership for the Department, including responsibility for the general direction of the Department in alignment with the College of Nursing mission and strategic plan. The Department Chair will be responsible for leading curricular revisions in alignment with the re-envisioned AACN Essentials. This position is part of the College of Nursing Administrative Team and reports directly to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Doctorate degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP)
Required Experience:
- Active license to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia.
- Academic teaching, administrative and leadership experience in baccalaureate or higher prelicensure education.
- Experience with technology-infused engaging pedagogical strategies.
- Background commensurate with the Associate Professor level or above.
- Evidence of contribution to the profession and recognition at the national level.
- Expert written and verbal communication skills
