Early Intervention Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job Type: Full Time Benefit Eligible Location: North Adams, MA Schedule: 30 hours/week $3000 sign on bonus

As a licensed Occupational Therapist with UCP’s Early Intervention team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the development of infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) through home- and community-based services. You’ll assess and treat children with delays in fine motor, sensory, perceptual, and self-care skills, while collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team to create individualized service plans. Your work will include feeding therapy, equipment adaptation, and supervision of COTAs, all within the framework of Massachusetts DPH Early Intervention standards. This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while working with flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive team environment.
Requirements
Occupational Therapist Requirements:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals
Certification as an Early Intervention Specialist by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) preferred, or eligible to be certified within two years of employment in an MDPH certified Early Intervention Program
Familiar with specialized treatment approaches, orthotics, neurodevelopmental treatment, sensory motor integration, neuromuscular facilitation, feeding support, etc.
Experience working with early childhood assessment and programming
Home visiting experience preferred
COTA supervisory experience preferred
Experience with electronic documentation or ability to learn.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Must be able to work independently and succeed in a multi-tasking environment and handle stress in a professional and positive manner.
Strong ability to positively represent UCP and provide a conscientious and caring attitude
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally based on the needs of the audience
Cultural competency
Ability to schedule work to meet family needs
Basic Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook skills
Ability to perform essential job functions through in-person, face-to-face contact as required, in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Ability to maintain Infant and Pediatric/Child CPR and First Aid certification
Valid driver’s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance
Evidence of immunity for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
Satisfactory CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Background Check
